I started this blog to intentionally celebrate the joyful moments in Erica’s cancer journey. Some days, it takes effort—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—to turn our thoughts toward joy. And sometimes, these moments come to you, years in the making, thousands of prayers stacked up. Like the prayer that your children will find the person that energizes and inspires them. The person that they will build a family and memories in a God-centered home as we have hoped to do.
This weekend we celebrated the news of Christian’s engagement to Lauren Gumeny. Erica and I could not be more thrilled with Lauren. She brings a happy heart, infectious giggle and fantastic extended family into our lives. To Christian and Lauren, we say, Yay!
And thank you to Amy D’Ambrosio for the wisdom to include Erica when Christian picked up the engagement ring. This is a moment she will cherish forever.
This wonderful news is a great way to start an otherwise difficult week. With MRI and CT scans scheduled for Thursday and Friday, the ‘scanxiety’ has already set in. Please pray for courage and peace in addition to good results.
